We are committed to and invested in sustainability because it’s a win all around—it’s good for the planet, for business, for our customers, and for our communities. The Climate Pledge, launched in 2019, is Amazon’s commitment to be net-zero carbon by 2040. In addition, we are on a path to powering our operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025.

Introducing the world’s first commercial-scale seaweed farm located between offshore wind turbines
The project North Sea Farm 1 will be located in a wind farm off the coast of the Netherlands, designed to test and improve methods of seaweed farming, while researching the potential of seaweed to sequester carbon. -
Last year’s program attracted 1,300 applications across more than 50 countries. This year’s Accelerator is open to businesses focused on recycling technologies, and start-ups creating more sustainable consumer products.
