Sweden is one of the most important locations for Amazon and AWS in Europe
Over the past decade, Amazon has invested more than 42 billion SEK in Sweden. As part of this, AWS has invested 39 billion SEK in cloud infrastructure here. The AWS Europe (Stockholm) Region – launched in 2018 – spans three Availability Zones in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Västerås, bringing cloud computing and AI to businesses and public institutions across the Nordics and beyond.
