Warsaw, 14th October 2020 - Today, Amazon announced that it has created 2,000 new jobs in Poland in 2020, bringing its total permanent workforce to 18,000. This includes positions for people of all background and educational stages – from a large number of entry-level positions in operations to engineers, managers and cloud-computing experts.
“Our long-term commitment to Poland remains strong and I am thrilled to announce that our team has grown to 18,000 colleagues. I am particularly pleased that this has been achieved during such a challenging year. I am glad we can offer a stable, safe work coupled with attractive wages and benefits starting from Day One. We also have great career opportunities on offer for professionals, from operations managers and engineers to HR, finance and IT experts, or even for graduates ready to join our teams”, said Marian Sepesi, Regional Director, Operations in CEE.
Moreover, recruitment for 10,000 seasonal roles for the festive period has been launched. Amazon provides some of the most advanced workplaces in the world, along with industry-leading pay and an array of processes and systems designed to ensure the wellbeing and safety of its employees. Since March, the company has also introduced more than 150 new safety measures, including social distancing, the provision of masks, temperature checks and additional cleaning across its sites.
Both regular and seasonal Amazon employees can count on attractive wages: a starting wage of at least PLN 20 gross per hour and an additional monthly bonus of up to 15% for individual attendance and team productivity. Moreover, employees working at Amazon between November 8 and December 26 can expect an additional Christmas Supplement to their salary of PLN 4 per hour, which brings the entry point during this period to 24 PLN/h gross. The company also offers additional benefits, such as free transportation to and from work on selected routes, hot meals, which are for free during festive season and private medical insurance.
