Rome, September 24th, 2019 – Amazon announced today that the Amazon store on Prime Now is now available to Prime members in Rome. Through the Prime Now dedicated website (www.primenow.it) and the mobile app, members can enjoy the Prime Now store and choose from among 12,000 products sold by Amazon, spanning from fresh groceries to top sellers and everyday essentials, including the Best of Amazon selection.

Through the Amazon Store on Prime Now in Rome starting today, Prime members have the opportunity to discover and try the product favorites from small Italian manufacturers and startups, such as biscuits from Il Mondo di Laura, or the bottarga from Mr Moris. The Amazon store will also have relevant local selection, such as guanciale, pecorino cheese as well as dairy products from Centrale del Latte di Roma and Acqua di Nepi.

From pecorino or coffee, to fresh fruit, cookies or nappies, Prime members can now buy their essentials in one click and have them delivered, choosing their favorite two-hour window from 8am to midnight, 7 days per week. Thanks to the new urban fulfillment center in Portonaccio, in Rome Tiburtina area, Amazon significantly expands Prime Now service for Prime members launched a year ago in collaboration with Pam Panorama, increasing the selection available for members in Roman area, as well as Amazon operational capacity and flexibility. The new facility will provide fast delivery in 9 additional ZIP codes for Prime members living in areas like Tivoli Terme, Guidonia Montecelio, San Vittorino, L’Ottavia Area and La Giustiniana. The facility will provide 30 new permanent jobs plus more jobs for delivery partners’ drivers.
