“We will add another 600 employees in Luxembourg by the end of the year, and we’re now one of the country’s biggest employers. I have been in Luxembourg since 2011 and consider the country to be my home. I am proud and excited by the fact that we have grown from fewer than 300 people when I arrived to more than 3,000 today,” said Amazon’s Vice President for EU Retail, Jorrit Van der Meulen.
Proud to be working with international talents in our EU 🇪🇺 headquarters in Luxembourg 🇱🇺.

And we keep recruiting 👉 https://t.co/vP7Jgew6Dy https://t.co/pB8MSbdf3x
We’ve invested well over €78 billion in Europe since 2010, and much of that investment is in infrastructure and research that creates many thousands of new jobs, generates significant local tax revenue, and supports small European firms with programs like Fulfilment by Amazon – we now have 60 fulfillment centers, over 100 corporate offices and development centers, and over 135,000 full-time employees across Europe in a wide variety of well-paid roles. We offer all of our employees an attractive compensation and benefits package from day one, as well as career progression opportunities.
We also support our local communities where we are most needed. Last year, a team of logistics experts in Luxembourg collaborated with the Robert Schuman Hospital to source critical materials during the pandemic. Most recently, our Luxembourg teams helped coordinate much of our response to the situation in India, using our global logistics network across Europe to purchase, airlift, and deliver critical medical equipment to support employees and communities amid the devastating impact of the pandemic.
