Amazon and Vodafone volunteers joined together on December 15th to provide a day of joy and creativity for 40 refugee children in Luxembourg, with the opportunity for them to engage in crafting activities and a holiday movie screening.

With 30 dedicated volunteers from Amazon and Vodafone, the event created a positive atmosphere for the children and their families, allowing them to explore their creative talents and build connections with community volunteers in a safe and welcoming environment.

"We're delighted to be a part of this volunteer initiative. We believe in the power of community and the positive impact these activities can have" said Stefano Perego, our VP of Global Operations Services in North America and EU. “Our employees were pleased to volunteer their time and resources to create a memorable day for children in need of a helping hand."

"I am very proud of our engagement as corporations joining forces for greater good to recognize the invaluable work from the Red Cross with the refugee children in Luxembourg. Today’s event transcended borders and corporate lines, uniting us in a common mission: to sow seeds of kindness and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most" said Virginie Vast, our Head for Source2Pay Excellence in the Procurement team.

The giving back initiative, led by the Global Procurement Team, not only strengthens the bonds between the corporate and philanthropic sectors, but also emphasises the role businesses play in creating positive impact in the communities we live in and are building together. Along with Vodafone and the Red Cross, we hope to inspire other businesses to take on more initiatives like this in the future.
