€100,000 of funding is available for charitable organisations in Ireland following the announcement that the Regional Creatives Fund Ireland is returning for 2026.

The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland is Amazon’s annual grant programme supporting charities that help people from underserved communities build skills, confidence and careers in the creative industries.

The €100,000 programme offers grants of up to €12,000 to organisations registered with the Charities Regulator that support people dreaming of careers in publishing, music, gaming, film, TV, fashion, visual arts, podcasting, and other creative sectors where diversity and fresh perspectives can drive innovation and change.

Applications are open today here and close at midnight on 30 November 2026. Grants will be awarded by an independent judging panel featuring leaders from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Business To Arts, Digital Hub and the Writers Guild of Ireland.

In 2025, the Regional Creatives Fund Ireland awarded grants to organisations across the country, including Cork Midsummer Festival, Drogheda’s Ablevision, Galway Film Festival and The Model in Sligo.

The initiative aligns with Ireland's Creative Industries Roadmap and the Creative Communities initiative, aiming to increase access to careers in the creative industries across all 31 local authorities in Ireland.

“The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland supported many fantastic organisations across the country in 2025, and we’re excited to bring it back again this year,” said Ali Dunn, Country Manager for Amazon in Ireland. “We understand that talent exists everywhere in Ireland, but opportunity doesn’t. The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland supports the organisations who are creating these opportunities and we’re looking forward to positively impacting many more people and programmes across the country with this year’s fund.”

Who is eligible for funding?
The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland welcomes applications from organisations working across the creative industries, including:

  • Music — performance, production, artist development, sound engineering, music business
  • Performing Arts and Live Events — theatre, live performance, events production, stage management, technical production
  • Screen and Audio — film, TV, animation, podcasting, radio, audio production
  • Digital and Interactive — gaming, XR, AI-enabled creative tools, digital design, social media production
  • Publishing and Communications — books, journalism, copywriting, PR, advertising, podcasting
  • Fashion, Craft and Visual Arts — fashion, textiles, fine art, illustration, photography, graphic design
  • Comedy — stand-up, sketch, sitcom, comedy writing, character comedy
  • Cross-disciplinary — projects that genuinely span two or more of the above
  • Other — creative industries where a strong fit is demonstrated

Applications are open for small to mid-size charitable organisations who are registered with the Charities Regulator and have an annual income below €5,000,000. Applicants must deliver a programme with a clear focus on upskilling, training or employment-readiness in the Irish creative industries.

Applicants must be able to show the grant will boost or sustain an existing programme that's already making a difference - whether that's placements in podcasting, experience in fashion design or opportunities in music production.

An expert, independent expert judging panel will award funding to Regional Creatives Fund Ireland applicants. The panel includes senior leaders from Amazon, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Business To Arts, Digital Hub and the Writers Guild of Ireland.

Judges will look for evidence that the programme seeking funding is already running and already reaching people, with clear evidence that it works – with numbers, stories, or both. Strong proposals will exhibit a specific explanation of what the funding would make possible and demonstrate a connection between creative skills and employment or career progression. Strong entries will also demonstrate a focus on communities that face structural barriers to accessing creative careers.

Meet one of the 2025 awardees
Cork Midsummer Festival is one of the Irish organisations awarded a grant in the 2025 Regional Creatives Fund Ireland. It received a €12,000 grant to innovate its Midsummer Youth Assembly programme, which supports young artists to develop skills in creative producing and performance, leading to career opportunities in the creative industries.

The Midsummer Youth Assembly is a creative upskilling programme for aspiring artists from underrepresented backgrounds in Cork, built on an ethos of integration and creative collaboration. Established in 2025 by Cork Midsummer Festival in partnership with Cork Migrant Centre and YMCA Cork, it focuses on nurturing artistic expression and creating opportunities for young artists and aspiring creative producers aged 16–25.

The initiative provides creative support, training and hands-on experience. The Amazon Regional Creatives Fund Ireland grant allows the charity to expand this programme to offer mentorship to 30+ young creatives in songwriting, podcasting and performance, with 12 young producers focused on arts-event production skill development.

“Everyone at Cork Midsummer Festival was thrilled to be awarded this grant by the Amazon Regional Creatives Fund Ireland,” said Susan Holland, Head of Participation & Engagement at Cork Midsummer Festival. “The funding allows us to expand our Midsummer Youth Assembly programme, providing more creative opportunities for the young people we support and building their skills and experience through music and performing.”
