Amazon customers in Luxembourg can now have their orders delivered to more than 170 POST pick-up points nationwide, through a new partnership with POST Luxembourg. Pick-up points include PackUp stations, or lockers, as well as staffed service counters strategically located throughout the country.

The service is available to customers who shop on Amazon.de, and is easy to use. During checkout, customers can simply select the pick-up location that is most convenient, using the map or entering the address. Previously, customers had to register separately with POST in order to enter a PackUp location as their delivery address.

Once the customer selects the pick-up option, the location selector will show a list of all locations near the customer's address of choice, with the corresponding distance indicators and pictographic map.

Once the package is ready for collection, customers will receive an e-mail with the information needed to retrieve it. To collect your package at a counter, simply show the tracking number in your email to staff and show a valid ID. To collect your package at a PackUp station, just follow the steps below:

  1. Open your delivery confirmation e-mail or go to the Track Package page in Your Orders.
  2. Locate the two four-digit pick-up codes.
  3. Enter the pick-up codes respectively on the PackUp station’s touch-screen display.
  4. The correct locker will open and you can take out your package.

If you don't collect your package within seven days after delivery, it is transferred to a post office, where it is held for another seven days before being returned to Amazon. For more information about items that are returned as undeliverable, visit Undeliverable Packages.

The new service is in line with Amazon’s commitment to continuously improve the shopping and delivery experience and our vision to become Earth's most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online. To that end, we launched Amazon Prime for customers in Luxembourg in November 2017. Prime customers in Luxembourg receive unlimited one-day and two-day delivery on millions of products across over 30 categories, including Electronics, PC, Books, Fashion, Home & Kitchen, Tools, and many more. Customers with a delivery address in Luxembourg who are not Prime members can visit Amazon Prime to join.

“We are delighted to provide an even better shopping and delivery experience for customers in Luxembourg – one that is more convenient, more flexible, and more secure,” said Antoine Dreyfus, Director of Worldwide Pickup & Returns at Amazon, at a ceremony to mark the launch. “Whether they live in the heart of the city or in the countryside, I hope customers will take advantage of these pick-up locations to explore the vast assortment of items we offer on our German store, particularly as the festive season approaches.”

Mario Treinen, Director of POST Courier, said: "This new service strengthens our long-term partnership with Amazon and reflects our good collaboration. As Amazon is one of POST's largest business customers, our alternative delivery options, in particular our PackUp network, will now be available at a click to many citizens. This will give customers even greater flexibility in their online shopping experience. In terms of sustainability, this means that the 'last mile' journey, i.e. from the distribution centre to the customer, will be as environmentally friendly as possible."
