Madrid, 29 September 2020 — Amazon today announced plans to hire more than 100 new roles for its Madrid Tech Hub as part of its ongoing expansion. To encourage those interested in finding their next job opportunity, Amazon will hold a Virtual Tech Career Fair on 7 October open to anyone interested to learn more about the work at the hub and current job opportunities.

The Tech Hub is located at Amazon´s Corporate office in Madrid where over 1,000 people from more than 70 different nationalities currently work. The technology teams in the tech hub include: Amazon Business, which focuses on creating solutions and features tailored to the needs of professionals, small and large businesses and institutions; Kindle & reading Technology, which builds new products and services to discover, buy, read and listen to novels, non-fiction and technical books, articles, comic books, and all other forms of reading; and International Technology, which delivers cutting-edge engineering from front-end customer experience to back-end service technology for a wide number of Amazon teams.

The Tech Career Fair event will be fully virtual, from 17:00 to 19:00, and will feature the full range of technical roles at the Madrid tech hub, including a “a day in the life” session, aiming to show what it is like to work at the tech hub. In addition to presentations, the event will feature panel discussions with tech hub executives as well as breakout sessions about some of the innovations that have been developed at the hub. Finally, local leaders will share tips on how to build a successful resume and how to prepare to interview at Amazon.
