Amazon is opening the doors to their corporate HQ - Amazon Deutschland Services GmbH - in Munich. Visitors interested in seeing the offices, will receive an insight into Amazon's diverse activities during the two-hour events at the Schwabing location. They will see the campus and have the opportunity to ask questions. The offer is not only directed at customers but also to potential job applicants and those who reach millions of customers through Amazon – including sellers, creatives and software developers.
- From April 6th, Amazon is offering visits to the German corporate location in Munich Schwabing-Nord
- Visitors will get to see the working environment of the company and learn how technologies and services are continually developed
- Additionally, sellers, creatives and developers can find out about the opportunities for using Amazon’s infrastructures for their own endeavours
On location, visitors can learn more about the company – Amazon is both retailer and marketplace, logistics provider and film studio, and even a service provider which allows authors to self-publish their books. Company representatives talk about the history and the creative environment of Amazon. Teams in the Munich offices are working to improve what is on offer for customers, from content for the e-reader kindle, offers across many categories such as books, videos, consumer goods or fashion, or the selection for our one-hour delivery service Prime Now. “Amazon is an innovation lab. More than 1,000 employees are based at our Munich location, and work on simplifying our customers’ lives day after day”, says Ralf Kleber, Country Manager, Amazon Germany. “By offering the opportunity for visits, we want our customers to directly experience our culture of innovation, and show how our thought processes are wholly focussed on the needs of our customers.”
In the Schwabing premises, visitors will meet with company representatives who will explain Amazon’s culture and philosophy first-hand. For instance, why is Amazon one of the best places to fail? And what does it mean having to find ever new ways to develop services and technologies for customers? Additionally, the program will contain presentations on the technical innovations of the company including the Amazon Fire tablet or voice-based assistant Echo.
Tours are available for visitors from the age of 14 years and will be scheduled every two months. The first tour is planned for April 6th 2017.
