Amazon Prime members can now add a variety of à la carte channels to their membership, live and on demand.
Amazon Channels are available as individual subscriptions, with no need to buy a bundle, and anytime cancellation.
All Channels are available via the existing Prime Video app: customers enjoy the same user experience, one-click to subscribe and play, and anytime, anywhere access, offering an easy and straightforward way to choose the TV entertainment they want.
Amazon today announces the launch of Amazon Channels in Germany, Austria and the UK. Amazon Channels allows Amazon Prime members to add channel subscriptions for a low monthly subscription fee, available individually without need to sign up for a bundle or enter a lengthy contract.
Many channels are brand new services, and for others this is the first time they are available à-la-carte, i.e. independently of any ‘bundle’, enabling customers to only pay for the TV channels they want to watch. Customers can click to sign up and begin enjoying the channels immediately without having to wait for any installation.
Prime members, already enjoying a broad range of original and exclusive TV shows and movies through Prime Video, can now access even more TV shows and movies through Amazon Channels with the convenience of a single account, login and user experience. Plus, the majority of the new content accessible through Amazon Channels will be available to download so Prime members can watch on the go at their own convenience. The new channels are available alongside customer favourite Amazon Original Series and exclusive TV shows like The Grand Tour, You Are Wanted, The Man in the High Castle, American Gods and Sneaky Pete on Prime Video, so there’s no need to jump from app to app.
This is the first time that some of these channels have been made available independently of any ‘bundle’, enabling customers to only pay for the channels they want to watch. Customers can click to sign up and can also click to cancel at anytime. Customer benefits include:
