Amazon will create over 1,000 permanent jobs in its new fulfillment center in Poland over the next three years. The new center will be equipped with advanced Amazon Robotics technology.
Amazon today confirmed its plans for a 67,000-square-meter fulfillment center in Kolbaskowo. Amazon will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs at the site within three years of opening. Growing customer demand across European markets encouraged company’s decision to further invest in Poland. Panattoni Europe has been selected as the investment’s developer.

At the facility, Amazon employees will pick, pack and ship small items such as books, electronics and consumer goods to customers. Associates will work alongside innovative technologies, including Amazon Robotics, which will be used on a daily basis to fulfill customer orders.

The robots slide under a tower of shelves where products are stowed, lift it and move it through the fulfilment center. Robots help speed order processing times and reduce walking time by moving the shelves to employees, reducing the time taken to stow items for sale or pick them for new customer orders.

Amazon has invested more than PLN 3 billion in Poland to build and run its three fulfillment centers in Poznan and Wrocnaw, its Technology Development Center in Gdansk and the Amazon Web Services Office in Warsaw. Across Poland Amazon already created over 5700 full-time jobs and keeps on recruiting.
Amazon will start recruitment for the Kolbaskowo facility by attracting top talents for managerial positions in IT, Finance, HR, logistics, engineering and other departments. Amazon will also partner with top universities from the region to attract over 45 graduate talents who will join Amazon for area manager positions.
