On October 13, 2016 we will bring our popular Academy series to Brussels for the first time.
Invited speakers include Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, Werner Vogels, VP and CTO of Amazon and Xavier Garambois, Vice-president of EU Retail at Amazon.
We will also host a panel discussion around the benefits of Cloud for entrepreneurship and innovation and a second panel on entrepreneurship and innovation with a focus on our Launchpad programme.
Participants who will participate in the panels include MEP Eva Paunova; Cheryl Miller, Cofounder & Executive Director, Digital Leadership Institute and Dr Bertrand Wert, Project Advisor at EASME and from the European Commission: Pearse O’Donohue, Acting Director for Future Networks in DG CONNECT, European Commission and Jean-Claude Burgelman, Head of Unit for Data, Open Access and Foresight in DG RTD.
Both panels also include representatives from European businesses such as Stefan Grosjean, CEO of Smappee, Teshia Treuhaft, Head of Communications at Senic, Lavinia Davolio, Founder of Lavolio, and Nesya Goris, co-founder of ViroVet.
After the event, during a walking dinner, attendees will be able to interact with some of our keystone devices that utilize cloud technology and demonstrate the direct results of our continued focus on innovation and of providing opportunities to entrepreneurs and developers; devices such as the Amazon Echo, newly released in Europe, alongside our Fire technology devices.
