Following in his father’s footsteps
From a young age, Giuseppe was following his father’s footsteps and learning the ropes of the industry first hand. His father taught him everything he knew and made him passionate about the industry, giving him the drive to continue building the business on his own.
“I took over this business from my father. He built it through years of hard work—it’s a family legacy. Ever since collaborating with the Amazon Freight Partner program, this legacy has only grown! The truth is, my father has always been with me through this journey. He was an incredible man, well respected! He took me under his wing.” says Giuseppe.
Creating a community, not just a company
When Giuseppe joined the Amazon Freight Partner program, he had a single truck. Within just a couple of months, he found himself the owner of a fleet of 10 trucks—and his team are helping him grow his father’s legacy.
“Behind the wheel everyday is my amazing team of 12 drivers, who were all recruited within my first seven weeks too! But one of the most valuable lessons my father taught me was that it’s not just about building a business—it’s about building a community, a family,” Giuseppe says of the business. In his vision, building a community within the company and creating a strong culture is important; prioritising customer satisfaction and the quality of life of team members is vital to the success of the business, and is a core value at Amazon, too: “Collaborating with an industry leader like Amazon who has the same passion for business and community values as you, much like when I started my journey with my father, is everything I could ask for.”, he says of Amazon.
These principles are felt throughout the business. One of Giuseppe’s drivers says of working with him, “Giuseppe’s energy and work ethic is incredible, and this spreads to us on the road too! He respects people a lot, and always makes sure that his drivers have what they need and are spending time with their families. I know that family means a lot to him.”
