Amazon has announced plans to invest over EUR 5 billion in Poland between 2026 and 2028, alongside the opening of a new FC in Dobromierz, Lower Silesia — signaling strong growth ambitions for the coming years and reaffirming its long-term commitment to one of Europe's fastest-growing economies. The announcement coincides with the 5th anniversary of Amazon.pl.

Over the past decade, Poland has risen from 24th to 20th place among the world's largest economies — and according to IMF forecasts, it is set to maintain this position in 2026. This progress also reflects a consistent inflow of foreign direct investment. Poland remains a strategic location for Amazon's continued growth in Europe: since 2012, Amazon has invested over EUR 10 billion in the country — in infrastructure, jobs, support for Polish SMEs, and the development of advanced technologies.

From a European perspective, Poland stands out significantly. It combines impressive economic growth, advanced technology, and entrepreneurs ready to compete on a global stage. That is why we are announcing our next investments here of over EUR 5 billion between 2026 and 2028. Poland is already one of the world's 20 largest economies, and Amazon intends to play an active role in strengthening that position, says Mariangela Marseglia, Vice President of Amazon European Stores.

E-commerce is growing. Amazon is investing. Poland in the spotlight.

According to a report by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, total e-commerce turnover in Poland reached nearly PLN 92 billion in 2025, growing by 6.8% year-on-year. Forecasts for 2026 remain optimistic, with analysts expecting a further increase of around 7.1% [1]. The significance of Polish e-commerce is also underscored by the findings of the latest study "(Un)Conscious Consumer" conducted by Amazon in partnership with the Ariadna research panel [2]. Three in four Poles (75%) shop online at least once a month — and consumers are increasingly gravitating toward trusted marketplaces, with 71% reporting that they feel significantly safer shopping on these platforms.

Poles know exactly what they expect from online shopping: convenience, safety, and the confidence that returns will be hassle-free when needed. We take these expectations seriously. We invest in logistics infrastructure, prioritise the safety of every transaction, and offer one of the most comprehensive shopping and entertainment memberships in Poland. Because consumer trust is not built with a single decision, it is earned with every order. Poland is a priority for Amazon, and we want our customers to feel that: with every delivery, and with every local Prime Video production, says Katarzyna Ciechanowska-Ciosk, Country Manager Amazon.pl.

Amazon Prime: shopping, entertainment and more Polish content

Amazon Prime, which debuted in Poland in October 2021 — just a few months after the launch of Amazon.pl — quickly became the answer to Polish consumers' needs. From the outset, it stood apart from other subscription offers as the only membership in Poland combining shopping with entertainment. Today, Prime members enjoy unlimited fast and free delivery on millions of products with no minimum order value, access to Prime Video, free games on Amazon Luna, and exclusive shopping events — including the annual Prime Day. All for PLN 69 per year or PLN 15.50 per month, with a 30-day free trial.

Amazon is also continuously expanding its Prime Video offering with new local productions. Recent Polish originals include comedy shows such as, among others, LOL: Last One Laughing, reality shows, films, and documentaries featuring celebrated Polish personalities including Wojciech Szczęsny, Robert Lewandowski, Jakub Błaszczykowski, and Dorota “Doda” Rabczewska. Prime Video plans to continue investing in Polish content.

A new FC in Lower Silesia. Amazon is expanding its logistics network.

Efficient online shopping begins long before you click "Buy Now" — a well-designed and reliable logistics infrastructure underpins every order. It determines whether a parcel arrives on time, intact, and in line with the customer's expectations. That is why Amazon continues to invest in expanding its logistics network in Poland. The next step in this direction is the construction of a new, state-of-the-art FC: as part of its announced investment plans, Amazon intends to open a modern, 200,000-square-meter robotic FC in Dobromierz, Lower Silesia. The facility is expected to create over a thousand full-time jobs within its first year of operation, significantly strengthening the local employment market and creating opportunities for the development of specialised technical and operational skills.

The FC in Dobromierz has been designed with both operational efficiency and employee comfort and safety in mind. Advanced automation systems will streamline order picking and shipping processes, while over 5,000 robots will support employees in the most demanding tasks, making work easier and raising safety standards every day. We believe technology should serve people. This is the philosophy guiding our investment in Lower Silesia, says Sławomir Płonka, Director Regional Operations Amazon CEE.

The four-story building is being prepared for BREEAM certification — one of the world’s most prestigious sustainable building assessment systems — which confirms compliance with the highest standards in energy efficiency, water management and environmental responsibility.

With the Dobromierz facility, Amazon will have 12 FC in Poland, alongside corporate offices, Amazon Web Services (AWS) offices, and three Amazon Development Centres (ADCP) in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Cracow.

Closer to customers, closer to entrepreneurs. The “Brands of Poland Awards”

Beyond its extensive logistics network, Amazon is investing in local solutions that directly enhance the daily shopping experience of Polish customers.

We are continuously developing Amazon.pl to meet the real needs of Polish customers. We introduced BLIK payments because they are a natural part of everyday life in Poland, and — thanks to our partners — we offer a wide variety of delivery options with convenient access to the parcel collection network. We recently launched Amazon Lens, a visual product search feature that makes shopping more personalised and intuitive. The "Brands of Poland" store on Amazon.pl showcases products from Polish producers while giving local entrepreneurs access to a broad audience. Polish customers are incredibly important to us — and we have been proving that for five years, adds Katarzyna Ciechanowska-Ciosk, Country Leader Amazon.pl.

The “Brands of Poland” store on Amazon.pl now boasts over 1,200 Polish brands — from well-known brands to local artisans and producers with generations of tradition. To mark the store's 5th anniversary in Poland, Amazon.pl is organising its first “Brands of Poland Awards” — awards in five categories to commemorate five years of presence in Poland. The "Golden Box" statuettes are intended to honor those sellers and products available in the " Brands of Poland" store that best embody the spirit of the partnership spanning the past half-decade.
