'You Are Wanted' is set to be the biggest German TV series launch of all time. Beginning today, March 17, Amazon Prime Video customers worldwide can watch the first-ever German Amazon Original. The six part thriller, starring and produced by Matthias Schweighöfer, will launch in over 200 countries and territories simultaneously in versions dubbed in English, Spanish, French and Italian and subtitled in even more languages.

On March 15, Amazon celebrated the world premiere of its thriller TV series with over 2,000 fans and VIPs taking over the eight CineStar theatres at the Sony Center in Berlin. Stars of the show including actors Matthias Schweighöfer (who also directed and produced the series) and Alexandra Maria Lara graced the red carpet. The Irish alternative rock band Walking on Cars, winner of the Amazon Music Newcomer Award 2016, performed live including a performance of “Always Be With You” from the official You Are Wanted soundtrack. Amazon streamed the premiere live from the red carpet on Bild.de and on the Amazon Video Facebook page.

"We are excited to launch the first German Original for our Amazon Prime members in Germany and across the World", says Roy Price, Head of Amazon Studios. "Matthias and his team have done a great job creating a heart-pumping thriller with an amazing cast. We hope all our German Prime members like it as much as we do.”

The book, based on the TV script, written by bestseller author Arno Strobel, is available as a Kindle Edition, paperback and as an audio book. The show’s soundtrack will also be released on Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music.

Prime members can exclusively stream the series through the Amazon Prime Video app on compatible TVs and mobile devices and Amazon Fire TV, or online. They can also download the series on mobile devices for offline viewing at no additional cost.

Prime Video is available at no additional cost to Amazon Prime members in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, UK and US and to customers in other new Prime Video territories at an introductory price of $2.99 (or €2.99) per month for the first six months.
