Amazon has confirmed a new agreement with the ITA (Italian Trade Agency) aimed at helping Italian small and medium businesses (SMBs) sell their products online and grow in Italy, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, the United States. As part of the agreement the ‘Amazon Made in Italy’ showcase will also expand to Japan and the United Arab Emirates for the first time, with a selection of respectively 85,000 and 30,000 products.

The agreement involves the creation of a promotion and development plan for companies whose products are featured in the Amazon Made in Italy showcase, as well as a training plan for online sales and marketing activities to promote products and increase sales abroad. In addition, companies that join the program can count on the support of Amazon experts through their journey, with dedicated consultancy facilitating the development and growth of their business.

"We have created a team of 30 digital experts within the Agency to accompany initiatives, like this one, which encourage digital literacy for businesses,” says Carlo Ferro, President of ITA.

We hope to bring even more SMEs success on a global scale in this moment of strong recovery, as digital channels allow us to face the challenges imposed by the pandemic.

“We believe in the entrepreneurial fabric of Italy and we support more than 18,000 Italian SMBs that sell in our online stores. These SMBs have access to Amazon customers worldwide and achieved €600 million in export sales last year. The agreement with ITA will allow us to help even more Italian companies develop an international and multichannel offer, reaching millions of customers around the world with their products,” says Mariangela Marseglia, VP and Country Manager of Amazon.it and Amazon.es.
